Return to Love.

So I’m standing here staring at this waterfall. The water gushes down, a cloud-like continuous foam. It is roaring; it’s thirst has been quenched from the recent rain fall and it wants the world to know. It’s sounds mixed with the wind rustling through the abundance of green all around me and the invisible birdsong somewhere high in the sky is breathtaking; it is music to my ears reaching through to my very soul.

I watch fascinated, the perfect – utterly perfect – creations before me. Everything is alive in its swaying and its flowing and its being. Birds up above form a perfect swooping V and somewhere behind me I hear the sounds of children’s laughter. He created everything SO perfectly. Completely perfectly. Yet somewhere along the way, we forgot how perfect we are too.

We were created perfectly so why do we pick and scrape and torment ourselves with the belief that we are less than this? How did we forget what we came from, what we are returning to and what is alive inside of us in every single moment? What is it that makes us settle for a life, or situations, or even other people, that do not serve us in the way that somewhere deep down inside we know we deserve to be served?

We were created from perfection, in the likeness of perfection. From the boundless nature of our souls and the symmetry of our bodies to the free thought of our minds. But how did we forget? How did we forget?

If we were created perfectly, why do we not see that perfection in ourselves? If our ultimate purpose is Love, then how did we get to a place where we can’t even love ourselves?

Observing that waterfall on this day reinforced my mission to return; my mission to return to myself and ultimately to return to Love. I hope that you will join me so you too can realise how truly magnificent you are.
